The Wenyi Green Pottery, a national intangible cultural heritage, is facing dual pressures of inheritance and market. This paper takes "productive protection" as the core theoretical perspective and focuses on the core contradiction faced by Wenyi Green Pottery in current practice: the conflict between the "authenticity" protection of traditional craftsmanship and the "innovation" demand of the market. The study believes that the predicament of Wenyi Green Pottery mainly manifests as the discontinuity of the inheritance subject, the disconnection between the product and the market, and the lack of brand promotion. Based on this, this paper proposes two dual paths for its innovative development: one is "upholding the original", through digital archiving and modern apprenticeship system to protect the authenticity of core techniques; the other is "innovation", through models such as "intangible cultural heritage + design", "intangible cultural heritage + tourism", and "intangible cultural heritage + digital marketing" to expand the sales market and communication boundaries, in order to achieve effective improvement of cultural and economic benefits and provide a reference for the development of similar intangible cultural heritage projects.
